We rarely visit theme parks because with a family of eight, who can afford it? But we did just that this weekend. We loaded up the kids without telling them our destination and traveled north to
Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA. Boy, were they surprised and thrilled! Between the animals, the rides, the trick-or-treating, and fun activities, they didn’t know what to do first. We had a great time and discovered 3 reasons to make Wild Adventures a must-see this fall!
Your entire family will have a blast.
Right now,
Kid-O-Ween is in full swing and our six kids loved every minute of it from the glow maze to the trick-or-treating. The majority of the candy stops and Kid-O-Ween festivities are conveniently located in the Discovery Outpost, the new three-acre adventure area with friendly, patient employees at each station. The kids loved the fun candy treats while this mama appreciated the non-candy options like snack packs, pencils, and toys.
Your kids will love the 20-foot Gator Bridge, a better bridge suspended over 100 alligators. Watch them bravely cross just before snagging some treats from another candy stop!
You can’t beat the price.
With a family of eight, I’m always scoping out the best deals for my family. I’m interested in the best bang for my buck and Wild Adventures pricing is completely affordable especially if you take advantage of their season passes right now. The prices are slashed and you get the rest of this year PLUS next season for one low price.
Not to mention the FREE preschool pass. While most theme parks are free for 2 and under, Wild Adventures lets your 3-5 year old in for FREE too, as long as you sign up
here before you go.
When you plan your trip this month, in time to experience Kid-O-Ween, don’t forget about the free cups of water available at every food stop. You’re also allowed to bring into the park one unopened bottle of water per person. Keeping your family hydrated throughout the day is important so keep that tip handy.
You won’t find animals AND adventure anywhere else.
From the alligators just inside the park gates to the black bears and tigers on the backside, the animals are everywhere. My monkeys fit in just fine. 😉 We squeezed in a tiger show, an alligator show, a safari ride, plus tons of rides. The kids loved seeing the animals up close one minute and from up high on the roller coasters the next minute.
I asked the kids what their favorite thing was at Wild Adventure and here’s what they had to say–
“My favorite ride was the Kite Flyer! I’ve never ridden on my stomach on a ride before and it was fun!” -Savannah, 13
“Oh, I liked driving the safari Jeep ‘cuz I’m a real great driver and I liked riding the Flying Gators and seeing everything from the top!” -Mason, 6
“I loved riding the Swingin’ Safari and walking through the Alapaha trail in the woods and seeing all the animals.” -Grayson, 8
“Boomerang, Cheetah, and Go Bananas were my favorite roller coaster rides! I’m glad I got to ride them over and over and never had to wait in line! And I liked riding over a huge alligator on the Swamp Thing ride!” -Waylon, 10
“My favorite was the roller coaster (Outpost Express). I cried the first time but I loved it the second time. My over favorite was the trails through the woods to see the animals!” -Tanner, 6
“I’d been wanting to ride Go Bananas but it was closed for maintenance. Thankfully they opened it before we left and it was awesome! I rode it tons of times!” -Juliette, 11
