Book Review: Thin Ice by Irene Hannon

book review cover

If Ginny Reed is alive, who died in her house fire? Christy Reed has reason to believe her sister is alive after a letter arrived in the mail claiming her sister didn’t die in the fire and is still alive, but she is warned to follow directions and stay away from the police. So who does she turn to for help? The handsome, single, rookie FBI agent, Lance McGregor comes to her rescue when he decides her case is legitimate and deserves looking in to. A romance builds as the plot thickens and Christy and Lance devise a pretentious rouse as boyfriend and girlfriend to fool anyone possibly following her. Their affections for one another grow as they determine to unearth the mystery of the missing sister.

In true Hannon fashion, the action and suspense kept me turning the pages long into the night and I wasn’t disappointed! My favorite character, Mevlida, was buried in the middle of the book. I ached for Mevlida and her mistreatment and malnourishment, her pain from lost loved ones and her current situation yet I rejoiced when she boldly and courageously made a decision in the name of justice before heart wrenchingly disappearing from the story.

Irene Hannon does it again! Thin Ice is one of the best romantic suspense books I’ve read since her last book came out, a plot thick with suspense, it kept me turning the pages long into the night. If you like suspense with a romantic twist, you’ll love Irene Hannon’s newest book, Thin Ice. You can purchase your copy here.
